The DEI Mindset of Project Management focus on a holistic approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in project and program management by equipping managers and leaders with an deepen understanding of culturally responsive practices, techniques to better improve team outcomes, and developing stronger relationships.  

 

Part I: Social Identity

Focuses on participants improving their project management approach by engaging in self-reflection to help identify and recognize the beliefs, behaviors, and practices that get in the way of managing a project. Participants will engage in group activities and role-playing to further understand the principals, tools, and techniques in diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

 

Part II: Diversity “Creating a Winning Team”   

Focuses on incorporating diversity principals, tools, and techniques in project management throughout the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closeout phases. Participants will learn the fundamentals of “Creating a Winning Team” by engage in group activities and discussion topics.

 

Part III: Equity “Leading a Winning Team”  

Focuses on incorporating equity principals, tools, and techniques in project management throughout the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closeout phases. Participants will learn the fundamentals of “Leading a Winning Team” by engage in group activities and discussion topics. 

 

Part IV: Inclusion “Improving Team Performance”   

Focuses on incorporating inclusion principals, tools, and techniques in project management throughout the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closeout phases. Participants will learn the fundamentals of “Improving Team Performance” by engage in group activities and discussion topics.
